Driver's License Test

A PennDOT certified driver's license test (and retest if necessary) is included with the purchase of 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training. The two testing options DriveErie LLC offers are below:

Option #1  (test with DriveErie LLC at your high school)

This option is for students that attend a high school which participates in the EOCST program.  The driver's license test will begin and end at the student's high school.

Student drivers must complete 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training and a driver education theory course. The driver education theory course may be taken as a high school course (if offered), or students can take DriveErie's online driver education theory course.

Current EOCST participating high schools are Cathedral Prep, Fort LeBoeuf, General McLane, Harbor Creek, and McDowell. Students must complete the driver's license test prior to September 1st after graduation or they move to option #2.

Option #2  (test with DriveErie LLC at the DMV)

This option is for all other student drivers (including adults) that do not fall into option #1. After completing 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training with DriveErie LLC, student drivers will take their driver's license test at the DMV. Student drivers may use their own vehicle for the driver's license test, or it can be arranged to use DriveErie's vehicle.
